Region 254 EXTRA Program

EXTRA is a more competitive level of soccer that still incorporates the AYSO philosophies. The program is designed for players who have the interest, skill and abilities to play more challenging soccer the AYSO way. Our goal is to promote positive experience and enhance individual growth while retaining the spirit and organization that makes AYSO great. Tryouts are open to all 10U & 12U players only. There is no charge to players who are registered in AYSO in the Fall of 2022 season.

COACH APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022 EXTRA SEASON ARE COMING SOON

The AYSO Region 254 Board has approved four (4) EXTRA teams for the Fall 2022 season in the 10UG/10UB and 12UG/12UB Age Divisions. These teams will compete with teams from other regions throughout AYSO Section 10. If you are interested in being considered to coach one of these EXTRA Teams:

Applications are due no later than MAY 11, 2022.

The EXTRA Program gives AYSO athletes a more progressive soccer experience. Coaching in the EXTRA program requires a higher level of commitment from coaches and players.

Coaches are expected to be focused on positive coaching and player development.

It is with a heavy heart that Region 254 is canceling the BOYS 10U and 12U EXTRA tryouts and teams for the Fall 2022/2023 season.

Without coaches for BOYS 10U and 12U, the program could not move forward.

Girls 10U & 12U

Friday May 20th
10UG 6pm-7pm
12UG 7pm-8pm

Additional date added for those who cannot make the first tryout:
Tuesday May 24th
10UG 6pm-7pm
12UG 7pm-8pm

**Players should arrive 30 minutes early for check in

WHAT TO BRING TO TRYOUTS
■ Two copies of the EXTRA Program tryout form 2022 player tryout form.pdf
■ Full Soccer kit (shorts, socks, soccer cleats, shin guards and age appropriate ball)
■ Water
■ $5 check insurance fee (if not registered in AYSO during the 2022 season)

Location: Providencia Elementary School 1919 N Ontario St. Burbank, CA 91505

The tryout sessions will be led by the UK Coaches. Players should anticipate tryouts
to be extremely competitive in nature, and not all players will make the team.

EXTRA are expected to travel (will not play in Region), be prepared to drive to Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Granada Hills and other locations.

EXTRA Estimated Cost -$100 special uniform -$300+ Tournaments and possible $300additional training

EXTRA are required a year commitment
