AYSO Burbank region 254 is a volunteer-run organization. Coaches, referees and administrators are volunteers. Hundreds of parents, neighbors, relatives and friends lend their time and talents so that each child gets a terrific AYSO experience.
AYSO has developed special training that helps parents who may have little or no soccer experience quickly gain the age-appropriate knowledge and skills they need to be effective coaches and referees. Ask any of our Burbank Region 254 coaches just how rewarding the experience is. No experience necessary. Won't you volunteer?
Coaches are encouraged to check this page regularly throughout the season for important updates, news and other information.
This year we would like to focus additional media attention on AYSO Region 254. Part of this process involves submitting game summaries to publish on the website. Therefore, all coaches are requested to file a weekly game report along with a photograph (if possible).

B. U6/U8 Coach Training Course: Mandatory for all coaches and assistant coaches in the U6 & U8 divisions, regardless of what, or how many, other AYSO or non-AYSO coaching courses a coach may have taken or licenses a coach may have obtained (i.e., it doesn't matter if you are already have an AYSO "Advanced" Coaching Certificate and/or a club coaching license). These Courses are required both to protect the kids we serve and to protect the coaches and assistant coaches as volunteers.
In order to fulfill the mandatory requirements, ALL Coaches and Assistant Coaches must be listed as having taken the appropriate Courses in the database supplied to the Region by AYSO National. If a Coach is not listed, he or she is not eligible to coach or assist. ALL Coaches should make sure that both they ad their Assistants are listed and eligible to Coach. If a Coach is not sure whether he/she and/or his/her Assistant(s) are listed and eligible, he/she should contact the Regional Coach Administrator.
